Here are pictures from our first visit the the abandoned hospital. We thought it would be interesting to compare the pictures from the first visit to the pictures of the last. Notice the damage...

well first off thats trespassing, thats my girlfriends dads hospital, but its cool, and when were these photos taken? i was there today 10/25/10 and got creeped out, and i was wondering if you might have some blueprints or a map of the buliding or something, thanks/

Hi, yes my dad does own the hospital i own part of it too. I dont mind people going in it for research on ghost but it they do i would like to know just because it is a interesting thing to find out thanks

Hi. My friends and I have recently had a paranormal experiance and have gotten our interest sparked. we are releatively close to Banner Elk and have heard many stories about this hospital. I would like to get permission to walk through it and see if anything happens. If the owner still reads these could u please give us permission.? Thanks!

I just went in there today and omg I totally captured some interesting evp ..one was from a little girl named Emily whom said she was murdered their many many years ago by accidental overdose to meds .I'm never going there again it freaked me out

I don't believe this site is being maintained. My sister and I belong to CSPRI, LLC in South Carolina. We are visiting Banner Elk this week. Been trying to get permission to walk through the hospital. From the posts I assuming you leave your request on this blog so the owner's daughter will know and agree to give her feed back if anything paranormal is found. At least her comment above indicates this is her wishes. Thank you and we will provide any info back to this site.

Whoever owns this hospital should have known not to leave patient records. This is a huge HIPPA violation. I just saw them on a ghost hunter show

I agree that HIPPA violation unless when the hospital moved to their new location patient files were not protected by any law. Regardless, common business sense tells you patient records are confidential and should have moved with the hospital or place in an archive vault off site! I got the impression, the move was in haste leaving anything they were afraid to go back in to retrieve at the old hospital.

The man who owns the hospital now will not allow anyone on the property or into the building with out paying him. He told us anyone on his perpetual without a letter from him giving them permission, is to be arrested! Some have been arrested and paid a huge fine, but said it was worth it.

He allows TWC to film there because the producers of the show pay him. Not the TWC group! We don't charge for our services and don't have the money he apparently wants to pay! Nor do we have a show with producers.

He can't sell the place., if he were smart he would invite any and all paranormal groups to do investigations and rebuke the demons! Until they are all gone.m then maybe he could sell it.

Good morning, it looks like it has been a while since anyone has posted on this message board. However, i have a group of Paranormal investigators. We would like to investigate this awesome place. We are very professional and we respect the entities. I know it's not free, so please let me know if we're still able to investigate or not. Our Purpose...

This group of Ghost Hunters has been created to prove and disprove the paranormal. It is our goal to be the number one source for Paranormal investigations in the western mountains of North Carolina. Our office is located in the Mountains of Boone, NC. Home of APP State University. We travel from one end of the North Carolina to the other in search of the paranormal.
We investigate haunted locations that time has forgotten. Sometimes these locations are not accessable by ordinary means. Sometimes, these areas must be infiltrated.

Our ghost hunting equipment...

We receive many questions from fellow Ghost Hunters concerning the technology that we use. Some have asked about EMF meters, IR thermometers and etc. We do not use such devices in our investigations typically. Namely, you cannot use such information as evidence. Theories yes, but not solid evidence. We attempt to prove/disprove the existance of ghosts using die hard proof.

Our main focus is the evidence that can only be collected from sight and sound. Feelings are important but naturally they are too easily influenced by surroundings, atmosphere and the etc, so they do not account for much here.

Digital Cameras (from SLR’s to point and click), Digital Audio Recorders (multiple models), Night Vision Camcorders (HD based systems) DVR, and more. All these tools and more assist us in our investrigations of haunted locations in North Carolina as we search for ghosts, spirits, and other paranormal oddities.
